About the Napa Tribune

The Napa Tribune is a real online newspaper for Napa Valley. Our parent company is Tribune Publications.

We cover the valley as a working place, not a postcard: downtown Napa and the city first, then the valley north from Yountville to Calistoga, plus public safety, business, the wine industry, and community life. We cover the water board with the same care we give the harvest.

Our standards follow the tradition of the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics: seek truth and report it, minimize harm, act independently, and be accountable and transparent.

We keep news and opinion strictly separate. Reporters report; they do not take positions on the matters they cover. Opinion pieces are labeled as opinion and signed by their authors.

We answer to no interest but our readers. Send us news tips, tell us what we missed, and hold us to these promises, loudly, when we fall short.
