Measure G oversight report received
The citizens committee presented its inaugural annual report on the Measure G sales tax to the Napa City Council, covering the first months of collections. The next report is expected in early 2027.
Opera House loan forgiven
The Napa City Council approved a new agreement with the Napa Valley Opera House nonprofit forgiving a $700,000 city loan; the city keeps ballroom use 20 times a year through at least Dec. 31, 2030.
American Canyon backs SR-29 plan
The American Canyon City Council voted to support NVTA's State Route 29 corridor improvement project, committing up to $5 million toward design and right-of-way in 2027 and 2029 tranches.
SR-29 preferred alternative selected
The NVTA board and the American Canyon council selected the signalized corridor with multimodal improvements at six intersections as the preferred alternative. Design and right-of-way work is scheduled for 2027 and 2028.

Burglary investigation: victims sought
The Napa County Sheriff's Office asks the public for help identifying additional victims after the arrest of a 44-year-old Napa man accused of stealing jewelry and handbags from homes with unlocked doors.
Pickett Fire: felony charges filed
The Napa County District Attorney filed felony charges against a 45-year-old Napa man accused of recklessly starting the 2025 Pickett Fire, the 6,820-acre blaze northeast of Calistoga.
