Complaints

If something we published is wrong, unfair, or falls short of our standards, tell us. Complaints are read by the newsroom and answered.

Send a complaint through the contact page with the article headline, a link to the story, and what you believe is wrong. Factual errors are handled under our corrections policy: corrections appear at the foot of the article they correct, labeled Corrections, with the date of the correction and what changed, and we do not silently rewrite published copy.

Copyright complaints follow a separate route, set out in our DMCA policy.

We aim to acknowledge every complaint within two business days and to resolve straightforward factual complaints promptly. Where a complaint raises a standards question, the publication reviews the story against its ethics policy and replies with the outcome.
