Don Perico Returns to Downtown Napa at First Street
The family owned Mexican restaurant, a Napa name for more than 30 years, has reopened at 1300 First Street in the former Buckhorn Grill space.
DOWNTOWN NAPA: Don Perico has reopened at 1300 First Street in the former Buckhorn Grill space, returning the family owned Mexican restaurant to downtown after more than 30 years in Napa.
First Street Napa’s March 2026 leasing sheet listed Don Perico Mexican Restaurant and Bar for a June 2026 opening in Suite 201 at 1300 First Street.
In June, the Napa Lowdown reported the restaurant was preparing to reopen at 1300 First Street, noting its website still said re-opening Summer 2026. A current restaurant listing shows Don Perico open at the new address, with reviews of the new location posted in August 2026.
The return brings one of Napa’s longest running Mexican restaurants back to the center of downtown, as First Street Napa continues to fill its storefronts.
Don Perico is not the only Mexican newcomer downtown. The Napa Lowdown also reported that Valencia Restaurante began pre-opening service on May 22, adding another option to downtown’s Mexican food map.
