ST. HELENA: Rombauer Vineyards has stepped into Western wear. The St. Helena winery announced Oct. 1 the release of the limited-edition "Joy" Boot, created in partnership with Lane Boots, the Texas-rooted Western footwear brand.

The boot sells for $395 and is available exclusively at rombauer.com/lane-boots/ while quantities last, according to the announcement.

Built from the winery’s visual legacy

The design pairs Lane Boots’ signature hand-stitched detailing with cues drawn from the Rombauer estate. The boot is crafted from Chardonnay-washed leather meant to echo the golden hue of the winery’s flagship Carneros Chardonnay, with a suede vamp and heel.

The "Joy" Boot beautifully bridges our two worlds and celebrates the spirit of both brands.

The shaft carries delicate metallic embroidery depicting vineyard grapevines and mustard blooms. Every pair is finished with Rombauer’s distinctive brand seal set against custom "Rombauer Blue" soles.

For us, the Joy of Wine has always been about more than what is in the glass,Heather McCarthy, Director of Marketing at Rombauer Vineyards, in the announcement

The collaboration leans on the Rombauer family’s ranching roots. Founder Koerner Rombauer was, in the announcement’s words, "a cowboy at heart," and the family says its continued involvement in ranching keeps the Western connection at the center of the brand.

Rombauer was founded in 1980 by Joan and Koerner Rombauer and produces wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, the Sierra Foothills and the Santa Lucia Highlands; its first Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon were released in 1984. Lane Boots, founded in 2007 and rooted in Texas, is a women-led and women-designed brand that owns and operates its factory in León, Mexico, and serves as the official bootmaker of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
